Description
What do I need to rent a luxury or exotic car?
You will need a valid drivers license and proof insurance. If you’re a new client we will get the verification process started and get you situated right away.
What kind of insurance policy do I need?
You will need a full-coverage auto insurance policy which consists of comprehensive and collision, plus liability coverage. Minimum coverage limits must be $100,000 / $300,000 / $***,***. If you are unsure of your policy coverage or don’t meet the requirements please get in touch with our sales team! Your sales advisor will be happy to assist you with any questions or roadblocks.
We do not accept SR-22 insurance.
Will my commercial auto policy transfer over to rental cars?
Generally commercial auto policies do not transfer to luxury and exotic rentals. However, a sales advisor would be more than glad to assist with verification.
If I don’t have insurance, can my friend rent the car if they have an auto policy?
All drivers must be covered under an auto policy with the proper coverages for luxury and exotic rentals. If you don’t have auto insurance but would like to add a friend or family member who holds an auto policy then we must verify your coverage as an additional driver under their policy.
Can I use a short-term auto insurance policy if my current policy doesn’t cover rentals?
We don’t recommend these types of services. They’re not likely to assist in case of an incident with our rentals. This would end up leaving our client liable for damages. Research adequately before purchasing this type of policy with the sole purpose of using it for luxury and exotic rentals.
Is there an age requirement to rent?
Good news! As long as you have a valid drivers license and proper insurance coverage you can rent. Please be aware that the refundable security deposit amount will increase if you are under the age of 21 years.
Can I let my friends or family drive the car?
Yes, but they must go through the same verification process and sign as an additional driver.
Do I have to put down a refundable security deposit?
Yes, a security deposit is required for all services. The amount may change depending on the vehicle and type of service selected. The security deposit is fully refundable as long as the car is returned with no damages.
Why are the security deposits so high compared to places like LA, Vegas, or Miami?
Snow. Salt. Potholes. Welcome to Chicago! (Just kidding).
There are many wonderful things about our city but potholes and road hazards aren’t one of them. Due to the high value of individual parts on luxury and exotic cars, especially wheels, we have to be mindful when setting security deposits. The security deposit is fully refundable as long as there is no damage to the car upon return.
What if I need to cancel or change my reservation?
We do not provide refunds. The good news is that there are no cancelation or change fees! We will hold your payment as credit for up to (1) one year from the date of the original payment. You can use the credit
Do you charge a smoking fee?
Yes, there is a $500 fee for smoking in any of our cars.
Can I come in to check out and test drive the cars?
We don’t allow test drives, however, you’re more than welcome to come check out the cars. Due to COVID-19 we are only accepting walk-in clients with an appointment. Click here if you’d like to set up one up.
How much time do I have to complete the payment?
You will have 24 hours to make the payment once the invoice has been sent to you. Please keep in mind that we’re not able to hold a reservation unless payment is received.
Which type of payment methods do you accept?
We accept the following types of cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express (AMEX), Discover, and JCB payments from clients worldwide. You can also finalize your invoice via Apple Pay or an ACH credit transfer.
Cash Payments & Deposits. For clients opting to pay with cash, we must place a hold on a credit or debit card in the amount of $***. This hold will be released once payment has been made. For cash deposits to be released an inspection on the vehicle has to be performed once the car has been returned.
When do I pay the security deposit?
The deposit will be held the day of the reservation. For security reasons, we do not accept cash payments or deposits if the car is being delivered to the client.
