Starbucks and Volvo. Now people and electric cars can charge in the same place

Volvo is going to install ChargePoint DC fast chargers near Starbucks coffee shops in the western United States.

60 chargers are planned to be installed from Seattle to Denver. This is such a small number — less than 0.1 percent of the total number of coffee shops from the Starbucks empire in the United States.

However, it will be a real boon for residents of the western region. Soon, owners of hybrid and battery-powered cars won't have to worry about suddenly running out of charge. The devices will be installed within 100 miles of each other. And not only Volvo drivers, but everyone who drives PHEVs and EVs will be able to connect to them.

Now, in the western United States, instead of waiting inside the car while your car is charging, you can sit comfortably in a Starbucks, enjoying coffee and free Wi-Fi.

Volvo plans to finish installing the chargers by the end of 2022.
