The Skoda company announced the release of a new crossover Enyaq Coupe iV. Sales of the electric car in Europe will start at the end of this year. Prices for the novelty will be revealed later.
The car is 4,653 mm in length and 1,879 mm in width. Height is 1 622 mm, and the wheelbase reaches a mark of 2 765 mm. Coupe-version differs from the standard Enyaq electric crossover by sloping roof, larger wheels, and sports aerodynamic dodgers. The volume of the luggage room is 570 liters.
The car got a panoramic roof, matrix headlights, and a glowing grille with vertical slats. The drag coefficient is 0.234, and it is one of the lowest indices in this class of cars. The interior of the car was made with environmentally friendly materials. For example, seat upholstery consists of 40% natural wool. The polyester, used in the cabin, is 60% made from recycled plastic bottles. The Enyaq Coupe iV is equipped with a digital dashboard, a 13-inch touchscreen multimedia system, and dual-zone climate control. The base version of the crossover has a single electric engine with 179 horsepower. Also, Skoda will offer a 204-horsepower modification, which can go 545 kilometers on a single charge.
The all-wheel-drive Skoda Enyaq Coupe iV 80x has two electric motors with a total capacity of 265 horsepower. The maximum speed is 160 km/h. The top version of the Enyaq Coupe RS iV is also equipped with two electric engines that develop 300 horsepower. Acceleration to 100 km/h of this version takes 6.5 seconds. The maximum speed is 180 km/h.
By 2025 the Czech brand plans to bring to market up to 10 new models with all-electric or hybrid engines. The carmaker expects that by this time such vehicles will account for up to 25% of the company's total sales.
