Jaguar has released a virtual car Vision Gran Turismo Roadster. The cyber-version concept was developed specifically for the Gran Turismo 7 video game. The model features an incredibly elegant speedster-style design.
In 2019, a real open-top version of the car was created — Vision Gran Turismo. The model has a single driver's seat and a dorsal fin reminiscent of the Jaguar D-Type Le Mans of the '50s, with laser-illuminated LED lighting. The fin sets the aerodynamic feature, which unfolds at high speeds to enhance stability.
The virtual version of the Roadster is largely identical to the 2019 concept. The game hypercar also, like the original version, has an all-electric three-motor powertrain with 1,004 hp, accelerates to 0-60 mph in less than 1 second and reaches a top speed of over 200 mph. The concept car weighs only 1,400 kg.
The race car is already available for online driving. Players of Gran Turismo 7 will be able to evaluate two previous concepts in addition to the novelty. The Jaguar Vision Gran Turismo will not be put into production, but it could lay the groundwork for even more incredible hypercars in the future.
