Honda presented a new subbrand TrailSport that will produce the extreme versions of Honda cars. It is assumed that there will be off-road versions of CR-V, HR-V, Pilot, Passport and Ridgeline pickup. A premier of the first model should take place in the near future.
Company says that the Trailsport cars will differ from standard Honda cars with a retuned suspension with increased ground clearance, additional body protection, off-road tires, special outdoor and indoor design, as well as other special elements and modifications.
Cars with special equipment have already begun to be produced by Subaru, which established the Wilderness subbrand. Its first representatives were the Outback and the Forester crossover.
