Overview
The supercar from Chevrolet, as one would expect, is striking in its beauty and boldness. The defiant lines of the body, the massive predatory silhouette are organically combined with the «docked» tail, crowned with a stylish wing. Squinting xenon headlights and a grinning grille round out the look.
A distinctive feature of the model is the different-sized wheels: 285/30 / R19 at the front and 335/25 / R20 at the rear. This adds aggressiveness and lifts the rear half of the body a little, which makes the side of the car look like a leopard preparing to jump.
Engine
Under the steel hood there is an aluminum V-shaped eight-cylinder engine, which is available in two variations.
A more «sparing» version with a capacity of 6.2 liters generates impressive performance at both maximum and medium revs. By accelerating the tachometer needle to the red zone, we get 466 proud and angry «horses», and at medium revs up to 630 Nm of torque. The advanced version of the engine already produces 650 horsepower, and the peak torque reaches 880.
The device starts right off the bat briskly, with a noticeable overload, and after less than 4 seconds, it already recounts three-digit numbers on the speedometer. It is quite expected that with such a roomy engine, the «appetites» of the Corvette will also be at their best: the car absorbs about 12 liters of liquid fuel for every 100 kilometers in mixed mode.
Interior
Despite all its formidable and pretentious appearance, the inside of the supercar is quite cramped. It's not even the presence of only two seats, but the size of the cabin itself. One gets the feeling that in pursuit of the image, the engineers forgot about the most important thing - the pilot. Both the driver and his companion are surrounded on all sides by the details of finishing and control. The materials for the interior decoration vary surprisingly. Unlike most supercars of other brands, plastic, leather, and even a few dubious materials, treacherously reminiscent of leatherette, were tucked into the Corvette.
