The Mercedez-Benz G-Wagon Is Going Electric

Mercedes-Benz revealed an all-electric version of the G-Class SUV. Company demonstrated it at a motor-show in Munchen. Sales are planning to start in 2023.

It seems that the electric G-Wagon has no different from an ordinary SUV, иut this is only at first glance. The "green" Gelandewagen got a closed radiator grille with a lightning emblem, a special box for storing the charging cable, diode strips on the sides, 22-inch rims and a roof rack.

This car is equipped with a 360 kW (490 h.p.) electric unit. The SUV is capable of accelerating from zero to 100 km/h in 5.6 seconds, and its maximum speed is 183 km/h. The engine is powered by a set of 80 kWh batteries, which allows traveling about 300 kilometers without recharging.

All other characteristics of the concept are kept a secret.
